Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty
Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty: Why Artistry Makes a Difference
Any facial procedure requires true artistry to produce a positive result, including a non-surgical nose reshaping treatment. Dr. Wise is a highly accomplished facial plastic surgeon with an artist’s eye for symmetry, the quantity and type of filler to inject, and how to achieve remarkable improvements in nose shape and appearance. This procedure can make a surprising difference in overall facial appearance, raising your confidence in your appearance in just a short, painless procedure.
What is a Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty?
Some patients with more extreme nose structure problems will require surgical intervention, but a surprising number of people can improve their nose appearance without surgery. A non-surgical rhinoplasty involves injecting specially selected dermal fillers to add volume to the nose. While you may feel that adding volume is the opposite of what you need, it is surprising to many patients that the nose looks smaller when fillers are correctly applied.
How Long Does a Non-Surgical Nose Job Last?
Various dermal fillers are available, each offering a specific length of time before a new treatment is needed. Most fillers last from three months to a couple of years. The typical fillers used are Juvéderm products. In your first treatment, if you discover you don’t like the look, it is reversible with another injection, which is an added advantage.
Who is a Good Candidate for a Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty?
Many nose structure issues can be resolved without surgery. You may be a good candidate for a non-surgical nose job if you have any of the following nose issues:
- You are unhappy with the appearance of your nasal tip.
- You have a flat-nose bridge that you want to enhance.
- You have a minor hump on your nose bridge you want smoothed.
- You have a pinched nose appearance.
- You have an uneven nose structure.
What is the Procedure Like?
The procedure itself takes only a few minutes to perform. Even though it is fast, it takes an artistic eye and the ability to gauge the amount of filler to use to produce the most attractive results. You will simply lie back on a treatment table. Your nose will be numbed with a topical anesthetic cream. After the area has numbed, the injections will be performed. Your nose shape will be subtly altered, creating a more balanced and attractive look. After the procedure is complete, your results are visible. Dr. Wise’s patients have been very pleased to see the subtle changes a non-surgical rhinoplasty can achieve. It is essentially painless, and the results are immediate.
Is There a Recovery Period From a Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty?
Some patients may experience swelling after treatment, but most people can simply return to their normal day, whether at work or other activities. Minor bruising, swelling, or redness will fully disappear within a week or two, and makeup can be worn to camouflage a bruised injection site. Essentially, this procedure does not involve a recovery time, although you must avoid exercise and drinking alcohol for at least 24 hours after your non-surgical rhinoplasty. Avoid putting pressure on the nose, including wearing glasses.
Will a Non-Surgical Nose Job Work for Me?
If you have a minor or moderate aesthetic problem with your nose, you may not need to undergo surgery. It is well worth discovering whether this procedure will create a more attractive facial look. It is affordable, requires little recovery time, and is completed in about fifteen minutes.
What Fillers Are Used for a Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty?
The fillers used for this procedure can either be temporary or long-lasting. The options include:
- Juvederm
- Voluma
Why Use Voluma?
Why Use Voluma?
Because it is one of the longest-lasting fillers, lasting up to 2 years.

Non-Surgical vs. Surgical Rhinoplasty
Some nose shape issues will require surgical rhinoplasty or a combination of surgery and dermal fillers. When the nose structure needs to be reduced in size or more dramatically changed in shape, it may require a surgical procedure.
