The National Domestic Violence Project
The National Domestic Violence Project offers individuals who have been affected by domestic violence the hope of wholeness by treating facial injuries.
Through the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS), the Wise Center for Plastic Surgery volunteers to help victims of domestic abuse who cannot afford to receive treatment for facial injuries. These efforts repair both physical and psychological scars and help individuals regain self-esteem and begin to rebuild their lives.
The problem of domestic violence is vast. Every day, the AAFPRS works hand-in-hand with shelters to ensure the individual is helped emotionally as well as physically. We believe healing must occur from within alongside any procedures that take place.
